In a fast-paced environment it isn’t always feasible to do days of preparation before giving an important presentation. The challenge is to seem credible, confident and comfortable while thinking on your feet, and that is what this training offers.

Powerful presenters enjoy rapid promotion, increasing amounts of responsibility and the respect of their peers. It is every person’s challenge to become excellent at entertaining, informing and inspiring their audience, and every organisation’s responsibility to invest in these skills.

Aim:

To develop workshop participants ability to present to groups in a persuasive and inspiring way.

Purpose:

This workshop is ideal for managers and team leaders who want to develop their ability to motivate people; marketing and sales staff for persuasion and rapport in client pitches; and general leadership skills.

Method:

Teach participants the basics of effective presentation skills and then workshop their presentations so they are confident speaking to groups on a variety of topics.

Workshop format:

The sessions are either one-day (split over two half-day afternoon sessions) or two full one-day workshops.

Areas Covered:

  • Breathing: Effective breathing techniques for calmness, resonance and projection
  • Enunciation: For clear delivery that makes your thoughts sound clever
  • Structure: The art of storytelling – the value of having a clear beginning, middle and end.
  • Preparation: Both practical (creating cue-cards and visual aids) and mental preparation for a clear presentation that is easy to follow
  • Rapport: How to read the audience, assess their emotional and practical needs and respond intuitively
  • Thinking on your feet: The art of selling baloney, and the confidence to say “I don’t know”
  • Humour: The persuasive power of a good belly-laugh.
